Wilma C. Griffin

March 17, 1931 — February 26, 2026

On February 26, 2026, Wilma C. Griffin was reunited with her husband, Duane, of 66 years, his three siblings, Bob, Pat and Mary Kay, and her brother, Roy, and her son-in-law, Karl.

Wilma is survived by her 7 children, Margaret, Jessica (Dave) LaBomascus, Michael (Patricia) Griffin, David (Cassie) Griffin, Paul (Tammy) Griffin, Tony (Janet) Griffin, Barbara (Karl, deceased) Weiland; her siblings, Dale (LuAnn) Goergen, Marie (wife of Roy, deceased) Goeorgen, and Sister Mary Goergen; along with 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Wilma grew up in Caledonia, Minnesota on the family farm. After her mother died at a young age, Wilma was mom to her siblings. She was president of her 4-H club and received a state prize for her winning pig. Wilma was a dedicated homemaker. She loved to garden and sew, bake, especially bread and pies, and was a great cook. She quilted and arranged flowers for her children’s weddings, she refinished furniture and collected antiques. Wilma organized craft fairs for St. Charles Parish. In her later years, she traveled extensively, often working on family genealogy.

Her pride and joy were in her “Grand Family.” She was the heart of her home and taught us the values of hard work, honesty and always being there for each other. She taught us to love God and be thankful for all that He has given us. Wilma will be deeply missed by each person who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, Wisconsin.

The family is grateful to Three Pillars for years of wonderful care.

Any memorials in Wilma’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

“In love and calm, this holy psalm, Shall guide your soul to realm beyond.”
