Thomas E. Eisenbraun

July 9, 1945 — June 20, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas E. Eisenbraun, age 79, of Delafield WI, on June 20, 2025. Tom was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, loyal friend, and a man with an enormous capacity to love.

Born on July 9, 1945 in Mennow, South Dakota, to Ted and Clara Eisenbraun. Tom grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Cudahy High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1972 and carried that strength, courage, and sense of duty throughout his life. Tom worked most of his career as a machinist, retiring from Harley-Davidson in 2010.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Clara Eisenbraun, his brother Marvin Eisenbraun and many other family members and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Ellen Eisenbraun; daughters Kristine Mehling (Rudy Bochek), Jeanne Schlevensky (David), and Lisa Blau (Bill); grandchildren Ryan Mehling, Kaela Schlevensky (Chris Thomas), Nikole Schlevensky, Luke Schlevensky, Ella Blau, and Sydney Blau; and great-grandchildren Camden and Katalina Thomas.

To all his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Papa”—a title he wore with pride and love.

Tom was one of a kind. He loved his wife and family unconditionally, showed up for anyone in need without hesitation, and stayed loyal to his friends through every season of life. He was passionate about his work, but even more so about life beyond it. He had a soft heart, a strong handshake, and a mischievous grin that hinted at the stories he could tell. Tom was happiest outdoors—whether hunting “up north at the land,” casting a line from a fishing boat, riding his motorcycle, or tending to his garden. He loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers every season and never turned down a good card game with family or friends. Above all, he loved time spent with his people.

In recent years, Parkinson’s disease slowly took its toll, but it never stole his spirit. We share his story not only to honor him but to raise awareness about this cruel disease that affects so many families.

A special thank-you to his caregiving team from Angel Love and Care LLC, who loved him as family and supported him with compassion and dignity in his final journey.

Tom would have been 80 years old this year, so we ask that you gather with us on Saturday, July 26th to celebrate his birthday and life. We will meet at the Village of Merton Community Center at W282 N6996 Main Street Merton, WI from Noon to 4pm. Please stop to have some food, a drink and share some stories. This is just what Tom would have wanted: a gathering of family and friends, full of laughter, memories, and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in support of Ellen Eisenbraun or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Tom is deeply loved, and he will be missed beyond measure. But his legacy—rooted in love, loyalty, and togetherness—lives on in all of us.
