Thaddeus “Ted” C. Stawicki, age 95, of Hartland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026.
Ted was born on July 16, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Vincent and Laura Stawicki. He attended Marquette University High School, graduating in 1948, and completed his education with a degree from Marquette University. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Army.
On June 2, 1957, Ted married the love of his life, Arlene H. Stawicki, née Mrochinski. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, love, and devotion to one another.
Ted dedicated his professional career to public service, serving as Executive Secretary of Elections for the City of Milwaukee. He was respected for his integrity, commitment, and service to the community throughout his career.
Ted had a lifelong love of golf, a game he began playing at the age of 16 and continued to enjoy throughout his life. The friendships, competition, and time spent on the course brought him lasting happiness over the years.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene H. Stawicki; his children, Karen (Mike) Dejewski, Mark (Jean) Stawicki, Jim (Tina) Stawicki, Tom (Mary) Stawicki, and Mike (Becca) Stawicki; his grandchildren, Dave (Christine), Sarah (Alex), Kristin (August), Therese (Joe), Joe (Tim), Dan, Steve (Marcy), Erin, Anna, Greta (Ayush), Jonathan, Matthew, Jake, and Ben; and his great-grandchildren, Clare, Abby, Elise, Ceci, Michael, Dominic, Olivia, Nora, Theo, Will, Kathleen, Noah, Sophie, Addie, and Tek.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Laura Stawicki; his brother, Alphonse Stawicki; and his brother, Hilary (Pat) Stawicki.
Ted lived a long and meaningful life defined by dedication to his family, strength of character, and steady presence. Those who knew him will remember his wisdom, wit, kindness, and the love he shared with family and friends throughout his life.
His memory is a blessing, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles Parish in Hartland or Marquette University High School.
