Ronald Lee Matek, Sr.

Ronald Lee Matek, Sr., age 78, of Ixonia, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 surrounded by his family at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

Ron was born on January 8, 1947 to Paul and Lydia. He grew up on a farm in Wales. Ron worked many different jobs, from working in a mill to delivery driver with Speedy delivery, cleaning jobs, and then later becoming a caregiver for his life partner, Linda.

Ron loved the Packers, Bucks and WWE Wrestling. He was always watching games or matches or the Lone Ranger with a Pepsi in his hand. He liked country music and Elvis and loved that he and Elvis shared a birthday. He loved watching wrestling with his good friend, Dennis Uselman.

Ron is survived by his life partner of over 40 years, Linda Bain. His daughters, Cassandra (Kelly Weinert) Matek and Lisa (Scott) Dunn; step-sons; Charles, Anthony and Robert Kelley; sister, Darlene Nylund; grandchildren, Kevin, Devin, Kylee, and Preston Dunn, Destiny, Tyler, Brianna, Elena, Audrey, Aurora, Del, Natalie, Chevy, Shelby and Emily. He is further survived by good friend, Dennis Uselman and other family and friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Lee Matek, Jr; sisters, Barbara, Sharon and Margaret; and brother, Paul.
