Richard F. Gardner

April 2, 1938 — May 8, 2026

Richard F. “Dick” Gardner, age 88, of Nashotah, passed away peacefully on May 8, surrounded by the love of family.

Dick was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family and the people he loved. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and the way he could make everyone around him feel welcome. To know him was to love him.

He took great pride in providing for his family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and memories that will never be forgotten. Whether through his stories, jokes, advice, or quiet acts of care, he made a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know him.

A devoted Catholic throughout his life, Dick’s faith was an important part of who he was. He was also a proud and loyal Wisconsin sports fan who rarely missed cheering on the Brewers, Packers, Bucks, or Badgers. He also loved his best pal, his dog, Uecker.

Dick was a hardworking businessman who took great pride in owning and operating his home improvement business. He believed in doing things the right way, working hard for his family, and always helping others when he could. Whether he was working, watching a game, or spending time with family, he brought humor, love, and warmth into every room he entered.

More than anything, Dick loved his family deeply. His presence was steady, comforting, and full of unconditional love. He will be remembered for his strength, his big heart, and the countless lives he touched throughout the years.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Jackee, of 63 years; his children, Shellee (Jim) Hayett, Tiffany, and Stacy; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Alex), Morgan, Derek, Ella, Kaelyn, and Kyle; his sister, Jan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret, and his siblings, Bernie, Hank, Ron, and Delores.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Evert-Luko Funeral Home in Hartland, with a funeral service to follow.

The family would like to thank the hospice staff, especially Nick and Samantha, as well as nurses, friends, and family, for their care and compassion during Dick’s final days. Dick will be deeply missed and forever loved.
