Richard "Rick" Daoust

Richard “Rick” L. Daoust finally found peace on May 14, 2026.

Rick was born January 1, 1973, the youngest of five siblings. Raised in a house filled with love and laughter, Rick loved creating masterpieces with Legos and riding bikes with his friends and cousins. He had dreams of being a world-famous heavy metal guitarist or a motorcross champion.

As he grew older, Rick found solace and spirituality in the outdoor creation of God, duck hunting, fishing, and spending time at the cabin up north with his friends.

Rick is survived by loving and devoted parents Dick and Lynn, sisters Kathy (Jim), Heather (Andy), and Sue (John), 9 nieces and nephews, 13 ½ great nieces and nephews, long-time family friend Wendy, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Rick was greeted in heaven by his sister Corey, grandparents Leo & Babe, and Wally & Frannie, aunt Barbie, cousin Lisa, and fur babies Throttle and Nitrous. We are positive there is currently a lively game of Sheepshead being played or a bowling match going on!

Throughout his struggles, Rick loved his family deeply. Until we meet again, we love you beyond belief! You will be missed.

A private family service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Rick’s name would be appreciated.
