Mary Elizabeth Belanger

Mary Elizabeth Belanger, age 85, passed away on January 20, 2026 at her home in Nashotah. She was born on September 8, 1940 to Leland Thompson and Elizabeth (Tobin) in Escanaba, Michigan.

Mary is survived by her husband, Barry; her children, Teresa (Steve) Slivinski and Brian Beaudry; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Edward “Teddy” and Lilian; her siblings, Katherine (Chuck) Belanger and William “Bill” (Kristine Sowa) Thompson; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Judy Lewis and Virginia Nordstrom; and a brother, Leland “Oscar” Thompson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
