Margaret Mary Johns

Margaret Mary Johns, 62, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1963, in Oconomowoc, the beloved daughter of Marvin and Lucille Johns.

Margaret was married to Scott Connell for 35 years and devoted much of her life to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Larson, and son-in-law, Michael Larson. She is also remembered with love by her grandson, Blake Larson, born shortly after her passing. She will be lovingly missed by her siblings, Linda, Christine, Robert, and Kathryn.

A lifelong resident of Oconomowoc, Margaret cherished her hometown community and found joy in its festivals, street dances, and gatherings. She loved tending to her garden and caring for her many houseplants, filling her home with life and color. An animal lover, Margaret cared deeply for her pets and for animals of all kinds. She also had a passion for music—especially country concerts and the Eagles, whose songs she loved. Her faithful dog Ginger, whom she adored, was her constant companion.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Evert-Luko Funeral Home in Hartland, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue, an organization close to Margaret’s heart.

Margaret will be remembered for her deep love for family, her humor, her stubborn streak, and the strong-willed spirit she carried proudly throughout her life.
