Lynn M. Domokos

Lynn M. Domokos, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1950, to Arthur and Carol (Goedicke) Fitzgerald in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Lynn graduated from Brookfield East High School and secured a teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Shortly after graduating, she married Darrell and began her life’s journey. Lynn taught for many years in a variety of schools and was remembered by students and staff as a loving, patient, and passionate instructor. She enjoyed her students so much that long after retiring, she continued substitute teaching at schools where students requested her as their preferred teacher.

When not bringing joy to her students, Lynn was a world-class shopper, wonderful baker, and always took time to enjoy a sweet treat—Candy Raisins were her favorite. She was a bright light as she enjoyed spending time with friends and family in a supportive and selfless way. Her real joy was her three children and four grandchildren. She made every effort to share her love with them as much as possible and never missed an opportunity to send a treat “just because.”

Lynn was always an enthusiastic traveler, looking for great adventures that could be experienced with a fine glass of wine. In between adventures, she made time to volunteer throughout the community and at schools. She generously shared her sewing skills by crafting stuffed animals from the clothes of recently passed loved ones as a special remembrance of that person.

Lynn’s smile, laughter, kindness and love will be greatly missed by all those she knew.

Lynn is survived by her husband Darrell of 52 years; their children, Amanda Domokos, Melissa (Brad) Grooms and Aaron (Nicole) Domokos; her grandchildren, Jack Grooms (19), Jenna Grooms (17), Stetson (4) and Colt (1); her sister, Ann (Paul) Busch; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
