Linda Mae Janicsek, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 20th, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.

On June 12th, 1993, Linda met her future husband, Larry Janicsek, at a sprint car race in Knoxville, Iowa. After finding the love of her life, they were married on February 18th, 1994, and Linda relocated to Waukesha, Wisconsin, Larry’s hometown.

Linda had a passion for traveling, enjoyed road trips, and exciting adventures with Larry. She delighted in playing cards and board games with family and friends and loved watching Jeopardy. Renowned for her delicious recipes, her culinary creations were cherished at family holiday gatherings. Linda loved country music, watching auto racing, and supporting the Packers alongside Larry. Linda was a dedicated grandmother and enjoyed watching her grandchildren's activities. In her later years, she found joy in crafting, particularly Diamond Art Painting.

Born in Creston, Iowa, on May 28th, 1942, to Bernice and Clifford Williams, Linda spent her early years helping raise her 11 siblings. After graduating from Creston High School, Linda married Marvin Secrest, and together they raised two sons on a farm outside of Des Moines, Iowa. She was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth and kindness.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Larry Janicsek; her sons, Steve Secrest (Ann), Brian Secrest, and Jason Janicsek (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Travis Secrest (Kate), Alyssa Sukopp (Kaden), Bryce Janicsek (Rachel), Payten Janicsek, Amber Still (Douglass), and Nichole Leibrich (Matt); great-grandchildren, Ava, Hope, Nevik, and Willow. She is further survived by her siblings, Phyllis Wakefield, Patricia Ashley, Connie Sounders, Dianne HoGland, and Larry, Darrell, and Dennis Williams, as well as her sister-in-law Julie Janicsek.

Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Secrest; parents, Bernice and Clifford Williams; and siblings, Beverly Thompson, Kathy Shuman, Shirley Patterson, and Mary Zellweger.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at the Fox River Congregational Church in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, with visitation at 10:00 AM and a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Please dress casually; no flowers or memorials are requested.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and countless cherished memories.
