John “Jack” Paul Zimmermann, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on February 23, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI, Jack was the cherished son of the late Robert and Grace Zimmermann. He graduated from Messmer High School in 1949, and shortly thereafter, proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Jack carried the values of honor, loyalty, and service throughout his life.
After returning home, Jack met the love of his life, Marina, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering love. They were married on November 24, 1956, and shared an extraordinary 64 years of marriage — a true testament to enduring devotion. Their love story was one of deep companionship and joyful adventure.
Jack was a proud and dedicated father to four spirited sons, always offering patient guidance, strong values, and unconditional love. He spent over 35 years as a District Sales Manager at Rexnord, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of his colleagues.
Jack was a man who found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life — golfing, fishing, traveling with Marina, and gathering with his family for holidays, special occasions, and weekend visits. His presence was a source of comfort, strength, and humor, and his Catholic faith was the foundation upon which he lived his life. He instilled in his family the importance of faith, love, and integrity, and was a true example of grace and goodness.
He will be deeply missed by his loving sons: Jeff (Beth), Bob (Chris), John, and Chuck (Lisa); his dear sister-in-law Sarah Nugent; and his treasured grandchildren: Luke, Kate, Zachary, Evan, Erin, and Tyler. He is further survived by extended family and many close friends whose lives he touched with kindness and generosity.
Jack is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife Marina, his parents, and other cherished loved ones who passed before him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the values he passed down and the love he gave so freely.
Jack Zimmermann lived a life of purpose, compassion, and faith. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and faithful servant of God. His legacy is one of love — and that love will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
