Jean T. Heinz

December 3, 1937 — May 3, 2026

Jean T. (Laughlin) Heinz was born on December 3, 1937, in Madison, WI, to John D. Laughlin Jr. and Martha Casey Laughlin. Shortly after she arrived, her family returned to their home in Pittsville, WI, where Jean lived until her 34th birthday. She moved to Milwaukee in 1970 and was an employee at Lutheran Hospital in food service and then in environmental services. Jean took great pride in the quality of her work and received many awards and acclamations over her 40+ year career.

Jean met and married Daniel R. Heinz in Milwaukee in 1980. She loved joining Dan in his favorite pastime, bowling! She was welcomed into the Heinz family and loved getting together with Dan’s family.

Faith was an important part of Jean’s life. She belonged to St. Vincent Palotti parish in Milwaukee and enjoyed attending weekly Mass and getting to know the other members.

Both the Heinz and Laughlin families will miss Jean and her love of family, especially reunions and other celebrations. She is survived by her husband, Dan, her brothers-in-law, Chuck, Dave, Mike, Jim, Bill, and Bob Heinz, and their families. Also surviving are her brothers John (Judy) and Marshall Laughlin, also sister, Mary Hobert, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Jack and Martha Laughlin, sister Rosanne Laughlin, and brother Bernie Laughlin, as well as her brother-in-law, Tag Hobert, and niece, Sarah Laughlin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 14, at St. Teresa of Calcutta parish in North Lake, WI, at 11 am with a luncheon to follow.
