James F. Cochrane Sr.

James Forrest Cochrane Sr., known to all as "Jimmie," passed away on February 27, 2026, at his home in Nashotah, Wisconsin. Born on March 6, 1987, in 29 Palms, California, he was a bright light to those who knew him. Jimmie was a kind, happy, and incredibly funny man who approached life with a smile and a tune.

Music was the rhythm of his life. While he enjoyed watching football, bowling, and playing disc golf, nothing compared to the joy he found in playing his guitar. He also had a passion for traditional golf which he shared with the next generation by coaching girls' youth golf. Despite these many interests, his greatest milestone was undoubtedly his family. He was a proud, proud father to three wonderful kids, Karai (9), Tetra (7), and James (4), who were the center of his world.

James is survived by his parents, Ronald Cochrane (Christy), Sherry Steckel (Kirk) and brothers Alex, Hewie, Ryan, Andy and Otto as well as his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

His family, friends, and all who knew him will remember his warmth, laughter, and generous spirit.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, March 9, 2026, at St. Charles Parish, located at 313 Circle Drive in Hartland, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:45 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 pm to honor his life and faith, with a reception to follow in the church hall. The family wishes for this service to be a true celebration of Jimmie rather than a somber occasion, reflecting the joy he brought to everyone he met.
