Gregory W. Apuli, age 84 of Hartland, passed away on November 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1941, to Wayne and Ottelia (Ayen) Apuli in Milwaukee.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Carol; they were married on June 16, 1972; his son, Jason, his brother, David (Lynn) Apuli; their sons—Jeffrey and Michael (Jennifer) Apuli; his close extended family Sara, Chad, Amy and Hanna (Joe) Murdoch, as well as one Weber family member, Ray (Patti) Weber. The Weber families were blessed with numerous children, hence Greg’s fifty plus nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight other Weber families in-law.
After finishing his education at MSOE and Marquette, Greg began his career with the Heil Company, and from there moved to Trek Bicycle, and Fleming Foods. He retired in 2002 and carried on with the family company he and Carol initiated in 1973 with the purchase of rental properties. Since his retirement, he and Carol worked together providing maintenance of their rental business, as well as developing and maintaining the beautiful gardens at their home. He carried a deep respect for education and hard work, and his entrepreneurial spirit was apparent in everything he pursued. Through his example, his son will carry forward his legacy of hard work, kindness, and integrity.
A true people person, he found joy in social gatherings—whether teeing off on the golf course, enjoying boating adventures with loved ones, or relaxing at home. Greg cherished his travels throughout this country and Canada, as well as cruising internationally.
Greg cared deeply about people and never hesitated to support others. He was renowned for his meticulous care of his tools and his ability to fix nearly anything. His passion for his craft was evident in every project he undertook from tinkering on his workbench to lending a hand to those in need while also making sure to identify every classic car on the road.
Greg regaled with stories about his hole-in-one at Rolling Hills in Arizona, while playing with his brothers-in-law. He enjoyed spending time with his friends going to Detroit for vintage car shows, and attending Barrett Jackson Auto Auctions both in person and on technology, as well as the Milwaukee Auto Show.
The family would like to thank the staff at Angels Grace Hospice (Oconomowoc) for the wonderful care they provided to Greg in his final days.
