Eugene D. Krueger

Eugene “Gene” D. Krueger, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1933 to Edward and Ione (Hively) Krueger in Milwaukee.

Gene is survived by his wife of 70 years, Carol; their children, Susan (Mike) Heyer, Sandra (Bob) Workentine and John (Laura) Krueger; grandchildren, Jeanne Frisk, Amy Hoff, William (Kelly) Maloney, Eric (Valerie) Pope, Trenton (Rita) Krueger and Travis Krueger; great-grandchildren, Molly and Lyla Frisk, Andie, Jacob, Michael and David Maloney, Hayden and Lucy Pope, Landon Biondich, and Carson and Blake Krueger. Further survived by his cousin and close friend, Larry Krueger.

Gene loved fishing, boating and living on Pewaukee Lake. He enjoyed building decks and was an avid woodworker who remodeled several homes. In retirement, you could often find him in his workshop or spending time with his grandchildren.

Gene’s family is especially grateful for the excellent and compassionate care he received at The View at Pine Ridge Memory Care Facility and Rainbow Hospice Community Care.

A Celebration of Gene’s Life will be held later in spring.
