Catherine Ann Memmo

July 17, 1962 — May 7, 2026

Catherine Ann (Kemmerer) Memmo, age 63, passed away on May 7, 2026.

Born on July 17, 1962, in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Catherine was raised with a spirited determination and compassion that would guide her life. In high school, she proudly participated on the Dallas High School Poms dance team and even attempted to try out for the boys’ football team – a reflection of her fearless spirit and refusal to accept limitations.

Catherine attended Bloomsburg University, where she studied biology, and later earned her MBA from the University of Tennessee. She remained a proud Tennessee Volunteers fan throughout her life.

She built a successful career in pharmaceuticals and healthcare administration, where she was respected for her intelligence and dedication. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Catherine was known for her warmth, kindness, compassion, and loving spirit.

Catherine found joy in the simple things that made life beautiful: relaxing on a beach, enjoying a glass of prosecco, surrounding herself with flowers, and caring for her beloved cats, Olive and Rose. An avid animal lover, she had a gentle heart for all creatures, including her furry friend in Heaven, Violet. She had a lifelong passion for arts and crafts, and she cherished the friendships she made through her women’s group, Sole Sisters.

Catherine had a deep love for travel and adventure. From the beaches of St. Lucia to the streets of Rome, the fjords of Alaska, and afternoons spent beneath the lemon trees of Capri, she embraced every experience with curiosity and joy. Whether skiing with her family in Wisconsin or scuba diving off the coast of Mexico, Catherine approached life with a fearless spirit and an eagerness to try new things, qualities that will be dearly remembered by all who loved her.

Catherine shared 24 years of marriage with Erik Memmo, and together they built a family rooted in love while creating countless cherished memories, including trips to her happy place, the Caribbean Islands.

Above all else, Catherine’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a mother. She was an exceptionally loving and caring mother. Her children were truly the center of her world and brought her happiness and pride. Even as adults, her children could still count on Easter baskets, thoughtful little gifts, and reminders that they were loved. Those small acts of care meant everything.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Ashley Memmo (Lee Kresner), Christian Memmo, and Grace Memmo; her brothers Jim Kemmerer, Randy Kemmerer (Amy) and sister-in-law Carrie; her nieces and nephew, Kellyn (Jacob), James, and Clara; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Connie Kemmerer.

Catherine will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, resilience, sense of fun, and the love she gave to her family, friends, and animals. She had a way of making people feel cared for, welcomed, and deeply loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial service to honor Catherine’s life will be held for the immediate family in Pennsylvania. Please consider making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in her memory. Please visit: https://supporting.afsp.org/InMemoryOf/donate
