Bonnie “BonBon” Lee Galusha, age 85 of Pewaukee, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on March 21, 2026 at Aurora Lakeland Hospital.
BonBon’s legacy of love began when she met the love of her life, Joe Galusha, at the ages of 15 and 16. Their love story continued through many letters while Joe served in the U.S. Marines for 3 years. Shortly after his return home, they were married, fulfilling her ultimate wish. Her legacy of love continued with having 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her love of life, family and amazing friends kept her very busy as she gave of her time to all. She was the “best” mom, grandmother and mother-in-law ever! This legacy will continue on, because her love is in all of our hearts and in the thousands of pictures she has taken, as memories of when we have all gathered for so many years.
BonBon is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Carl) Hensel; her sons, Dean Galusha and Jeff (Cherie) Galusha; her grandchildren, Justin, Zach, Laura, Jenna, Tony, Nick, Angel and Tiffany; her great-grandchildren, Landen and Knox; her sister, Kathy Zastrow; her sister-in-law, Colleen Baur; and brother-in-law, Harold Galusha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Galusha; and her brother, Tom Charles Baur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
