Beverly A. Zajichek

August 16, 1936 — July 12, 2025

Beverly Ann Zajichek, 88, of Pewaukee, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025 surrounded by her family at Angel’s Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc, WI.

She was born August 16, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Christ and Dorothy (Donley) Stoecker. She graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1954. She was married to Charles “Chuck” George Zajichek in June 26,1958. Charles preceded Bev in death on January 4, 1997, after more than 38 years of loving marriage.

Bev was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, an avid gardener, a ferociously competitive bowler, and a lover of cooking and food preparation. She had four gardens at one time and canned and froze all the vegetables she harvested. She also had a pumpkin patch specifically for the grandkids. She could be seen riding her red “tractor” with the wagon on her property. She loved a good get together and was always the life of the party, entertaining family and friends and socializing. She always brought joy, happiness, and laughter to everyone she encountered with her cheeky sense of humor. In her younger years, Bev and Chuck were always the couple on the dance floor tearing it up with the jitterbug. She enjoyed travel and camped with her husband and kids in Wisconsin, took trips with her husband Chuck to the Bahamas, daughter Pam to London, son Phil to Green Bay Packer games and later with her sister Barb to Ireland. Bev also loved to pick up her sister Barb and go to the casino for the day. You knew it was a good day when she bought lunch, and they didn’t get lost on the trip and had no speeding tickets. She also enjoyed an eclectic variety of music from Patsy Cline, the Blues and the Black-Eyed Peas. She had been known to play her harmonica in the kitchen to her favorite songs. Bev’s greatest love was family; her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews and her two children. She was very proud of both Phil and Pam for the lives they built and their accomplishments, but her eyes lit up and her smile grew larger when she saw her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bev could regularly be found recounting and going on non-stop about her grandchildren, the beautiful families they were building of their own, and the time she got to spend with all of them. Bev loved attending birthday parties, holidays, and any other opportunity to get together with her family. Bev especially loved attending performances and sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, providing her hours of laughter and enjoyment, recounting any special moments that gave her an ear-to-ear smile and a full belly laugh.

She is survived by her brother Gordon “Gordy” Stoecker, children, Phillip (Dawn) Zajichek of Eagle, WI, Pamela (Kerry) Zajichek of Racine, WI. Three grandchildren, Kelsey (Jeff) Hauf, Taylor (Haley) Zajichek and Matthew (Zoe) Zajichek, and four great-grandchildren Amelia, Henry and Christian (Kelsey and Jeff) Hauf and Beau (Taylor and Haley) Zajichek.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Charles “Charlie” and her sister Barbara “Barb” Aumueller.

Visitation will take place at 2 pm at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, the memorial service will be held at 3 pm with Pastor Kevin Free officiating. The family invites everyone to join in the Celebration of Life following the service at the American Legion across the street for all who would like to attend.
