Weiles Earl (known by Junior by most people) was born in Juneau, Wisconsin, to Weiles R and Edna Zwieg (nee Huegli) on January 21, 1942. When he was very young, his family moved to Hartland, and he resided there for the remainder of his life.
Growing up, he enjoyed playing with his three siblings and cousins. Vacations were spent at a family friend’s cabin where he learned to fish and play cards. After graduating from high school, he joined the workforce and completed 30+ years as a machinist at Bohrman Mfg/Genesis Machine.
Junior loved fishing, bowling, playing cards, and dining at the former Schwefel’s on Saturday nights. You could find him hanging out with friends with a Thompson’s old fashion in his hand and eating his favorite scallops dinner.
Junior attended Zion Lutheran Church. He was baptized at home, confirmed in 1957, and served as a head usher for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Donald and Ronald. He is survived by his sister, Barbara, sisters-in-law, Sandy and Geraldine, nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.
Junior went to his eternal home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 23rd, at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. Visitation is from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Hartland Village Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family or Zion Lutheran Church.
