Richard C. “Rich” Carmichael moved on to his eternal home on Saturday July 24th with his wife at his side after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by and will be missed every day by his wife, Margie (Eberhardy), his four children Bill (Amy), Scott (Maria), Chris (Kristen) and Jeff and his three, soon to be four, grandchildren Kirk, Damian, Charlie and Cooper. Rich is further survived by his three siblings Bill, Rob and Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Julia Mae Carmichael.
Rich loved spending time with family and friends, good movies, music, food and fireworks. He was a great listener and possessed a deep and genuine care for people. This served him well in life and throughout his successful career in sales and account management. He was blessed to count many colleagues and clients among his close lifelong friends. Rich loved his country deeply and was honored to serve in the Army National Guard and loved sharing stories of those days.
Rich felt he had been granted a miracle after a serious medical issue in 2020 and thanked God every day for allowing him to be on this earth. He paid it forward by getting to know God better and praying for others in need.
During his difficult illness and up to his last day, Rich was amazingly gracious and appreciative to all those who cared for him. He did not complain about his situation but rather was extremely grateful and thankful to all who did something for him, no matter how small or how often and shared his huge, beautiful smiles with all those who visited.
