Richard James Klippstein (Dick), age 70, of Nashotah, passed away following a long illness on September 30, 2020. He was born March 27, 1950 in Toledo Ohio to Robert and Mildred Klippstein and married his wife of 49 years Judith on August 27, 1971.
Richard graduated from Bowsher High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1968, and Magna Cum Laude from University of Toledo in 1972 with a degree in education. He began a career in food service sales which spanned three decades, and took him from Toledo, Ohio to Detroit, Michigan and then Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1997, he relocated to Nashotah, Wisconsin and served as Vice President of Food Service Sales of Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson until his retirement in 2005.
When not playing board games with his granddaughters, he was always reading history books. Nicknamed "Dickipedia" by family and friends, Dick was a trivia savant. He could beat anyone at Jeopardy, even after a couple martinis. He enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to his annual vacation in St. Pete Beach, where he met up with old friends and easily made new.
Richard is survived by his wife Judith, his brother Robert, his son Jonathan, his daughter Abigail (Bryan) Menting, and his granddaughters he affectionately called his “little darlins” Sydney Rose, Reagan Penelope, and Margot Jayne.
