Heaven received a beautiful angel on January 1, 2021. Jane O’Gorman (nee Wrede), loving wife, sister, relative and friend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63.
Edith Wharton once wrote, “there are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” Jane’s light reflected a profound kindness and goodness that put others before herself. She was a woman of deep faith in God who prayed daily for her family, friends, and the world. Jane never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere, whether at church ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ, or her various places of employment. She was always true to herself and God.
Jane was born and raised in Hartland, Wisconsin graduating from Arrowhead High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design. She was a talented artist and graphic designer.
In the winter of 2014 Jane began a deeper friendship with Amedee Casey O’Gorman Sr. which would become the beginning of a great love story. They married on December 26, 2015, at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Jane and Casey created many special memories together. He was the love of her life.
Jane is dearly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family includes sister, Mary Wrede Werner, of Hartland, WI; brother Charles (Jane Mary) Wrede, St. Charles, IL; nieces Kari (Kevin) Rautmann and Stephanie (William) Faubion, nephew Steve (Monica) Werner, great nieces and nephews Emily, Allison, August, Kari, Dottie, Madeline, Erin and Laura. Jane also leaves behind an aunt and many close cousins in Wisconsin and Kentucky.
In addition to her dear husband, Casey, Jane was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Dorothy Wrede and brother-in-law Steve Werner.
