Daniel T. De Valk

August 17, 1965 — July 13, 2021

Daniel T. De Valk, age 55, passed peacefully July 13, 2021 while surrounded by his family. Dan fought for his life for 2 weeks prior to his passing while under an injury related coma.

Dan will be remembered for being the “paint man'' with his incredible talent to turn ordinary vehicles into showroom worthy pieces of art, along with his passion for cars, bikes, and snowmobiles. He had a heart of gold, a comical personality, and octane running through his veins. He discovered his love for cars and engines in his youth while pursuing motocross as a hobby though he had greater ambitions to make it more than just a hobby. Being skillfully taught by his father, Dan took his creativity and directed that energy into owning a respected and successful body shop. During his career he restored many classic cars from the ground up. Including his own 67 Camaro Convertible, a 68 Camaro, and a 34 Chevrolet Coupe. Dan loved bringing his prized possessions to car shows, on cruises, and at pop up car meets. He also enjoyed weekends at the racetrack, late night poker parties, summer days at the dog park with his cherished Husky, Kodiak, and watching the flames dance while sitting around a bonfire on a brisk fall evening.

Family and friends know Dan for his selflessness and always willing to help others. In his passing, he has given the gift of life to others through being a registered organ donor.

Dan is survived, and will be missed everyday by his father Richard De Valk, best friend and wife Kelly De Valk, and daughter Angela. Beloved brothers and their spouses Dave and Phyllis De Valk, Steve and Kim De Valk, and Mark De Valk, beloved sisters and their spouses, Sue and Jim Matuszewski, Chris and Mark Lemke, Deanna and Steve Bertschinger, life long best friend Rob Tower, loving nieces and nephews, man’s best friend, his Husky, Kodiak, and many, many, MANY great friends. We know Dan is now with his Mother, Margaret DeValk, and is loved here on Earth as well as in Heaven.

Forever in our hearts written in the stars.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave, Hartland, WI on Saturday July 24, 2021 from 1-3:30pm. Memorial Service will be at 3:30pm.
