Charles Burczyk “Charlie” (September 11, 1928 - April 9, 2022) died peacefully at home in the care of his loving family at the age of 93.
Longtime resident of Mequon, WI spending winters in Sun City, AZ. A devout Catholic ensuring his children all received a Catholic education. Upon retirement he and Shirley traveled on cruise ships around the world including the Mediterranean, Alaska, the Baltics states, Russia, Panama Canal and around Cape Hope.
Until his final years, Charlie lived a very active life, playing baseball, golfing, and bowling. Sharp as a tack, he read the Wall Street Journal every day and was a frequent winner at bridge, sheepshead, and poker.
Surviving is his best friend and wife of nearly 72 years, Shirley, six children; Chuck (Kitty), Craig (Kathy), Brian (Sue), Blaine (Mary), Andy (Jackie) and Lisa, thirteen grandchildren; Jaclyn, Jennifer, Dan, Megan, Michael, David, Rachel, Nicole, Kimberly, Drew, Aaron, Alex, and Casey. He is further survived by five great-grandchildren Wilson, Liam, Harrison, Henry and Oliver, and his sister Karen (Al) Blau.
Preceded in death by his parents Ed and Mary, brother Nick, and sisters Doris Laudicina and Mariette Eilbes.
