Rosemary Becker

Rosemary L. Becker (nee Weyeneth), age 75, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2021.

Rosemary taught German for many years in the Watertown Public School System. When she retired from the school system, she didn't "retire", but instead she went on to get her CNA training and worked as a nurse's aide at Shorehaven nursing home. She was the "Becker Angel", taking many ailing members of the Becker family to their doctor appointments or helping find appropriate healthcare for those in need. She also took groceries to the ill or infirm, both family members and those in need. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Parish, taught writing at the church school and was active in St. Charles Outreach Program and the St. Charles Food Pantry. Also, an extremely active volunteer, giving her time to AngelsGrace Hospice, Hebron House -Siena House - Men’s Shelter and The Hope Center, which partners with St. Vincent DePaul and the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) providing hot meals for the homeless and families who might be financially struggling. She undeniably touched the lives of everyone she met.

Preceded in death by the love of her life Joseph Becker in 2007. Survivors include her sister Dorothy Weyeneth of Delaware and her stepchildren Allyson Lebal, the late Michael Becker and Todd (Brenda) Becker. She was the proud grandmother of Jason, Matthew, Lucas, Amber, Tyler and Brittany and great grandmother of 7. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Final rest will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richfield. Visitation at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to St. Charles Parish or AngelsGrace Hospice. Masks are required, and services will be live streamed for those who do not wish to attend in person.
