James "Sam" L. Heinzelman

James “Jim” "Sam" L. Heinzelman, formally of Hartland, passed away at his residence in Brookfield, WI on November 29, 2021, at the age of 73. Jim was born in Waukesha, WI to George and Arlene (Peterson) Heinzelman on April 24, 1948. He was a graduate of Arrowhead High School and then following, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

His public service included many years on the Hartland Volunteer Fire Department and
as a trustee on the Hartland Village Board. He served aboard ship and on land in the U.S. Navy from 1968-70 during the Viet Nam Era.

Jim is survived by son his son, Peter; brother, Jack (Susan) Heinzelman; nephew, Jay; and great-nephews, Charlie and Jason. He will be deeply missed by dear friends, Dave and Lee Anne.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's name may be made to the Hartland Fire Department Association and the Hartland Athletic Advancement Association.
