Our loving mother, Faye Jane Gundrum left us peacefully on September 30th, 2023, at the age of 80. She was very loved and will always hold a place in our hearts. Faye was resourceful and incredibly artistic, always using her hands to draw, sketch, sew, stain, paint, and more. Known as “G.G.” by her grandchildren, she was an excellent homemaker, an amazing cook, and helped many friends with interior design projects.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband Michael R. Gundrum and parents, Teddy and Beatrice Palmquist. She is survived by her children Wade Gundrum, Curt (Heather) Gundrum, and Kim Nugent. She has seven grandchildren: Ben, Olivia, Luke, Mackenzie, Michael, Mason, and Greta. She is also survived by her brothers Glenn (Sue) Palmquist, Bobby Palmquist, and her wonderful niece and nephews: Brent, Lisa, and BJ. She was very loved by her late husband’s large extended family.
She lived in her home for nearly 50 years, and in that time, she was a loving caretaker, not just to her three children, but to many other loved ones. Our mom enjoyed family gatherings, yardwork, conversations with beloved neighbors, and rummaging with her best friend Robin Stefan. Faye loved spending time at her cabin with dear friends, especially the Lex family. She was a hairdresser by trade at Shear Dimensions and loved her time spent with her girlfriends there.
Faye requested a celebration of life party be held in her honor in 2024.
