David B. Allen

David Benjamin Allen, 28, from Hartland, WI passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1993 in Scottsdale, AZ to Paul and Colleen (Snow) Allen. David was a 2011 graduate of Arrowhead High School in Hartland and later attended Arizona State University. At the time of his passing, he worked as a specialist at Quad Graphics.

David was a bright, inquisitive, and adventurous young man. Even at a young age, he exuded self-confidence and took pride in being able to make anyone laugh. He loved to play pranks and entertain an audience. His twinkling blue eyes, big smile, and charming personality got him out of almost any mischief in which he found himself. Deep down, he truly meant well and was always ready to give a great big bear hug.

David was a lifelong avid reader and had extensive knowledge on a variety of topics. He enjoyed lively conversation and was happy to engage in a debate. Even when there was a difference in opinion, David genuinely listened and was interested in the other person’s perspective. He could see past differences and ultimately believed that everyone deserved to be treated with kindness and respect.

David took particular interest in Eastern cultures and philosophies. During his senior year of high school, he spent a semester in Nanjing, China on a state department scholarship. There he learned to speak nearly fluent Mandarin and became incredibly self-sufficient as he traveled the country. He pursued his global interests further by studying international affairs and economics in college.

More than anything, David loved having fun and enjoying what life had to offer. Favorite activities included skateboarding, tennis, video games, disc golfing, baking, and playing fetch with the family dog Daisy. He could make just about any situation better, as his presence alone lifted up the spirits of those around him.

David will be lovingly remembered by his parents; siblings Elizabeth, Jackson, Savannah and Natalie; niece Juliet Mueller; grandparents John and Mardel Allen; uncle David (Anne) Snow; aunts Nancy Allen, Janet (David) Galassi, Jacinda Gerrard, Juanita (Keven) Chen, and Melita (Bailey) Wilson; and many cousins.

Family preceding David in death include his grandparents Richard Snow and Marilyn Snow, and cousin Gage Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, November 19th, 2021 at St Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Drive in Hartland, WI, officiated by Rev. Nick Baumgardner. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow at the Hartland Cemetery.

David will be sorely missed yet continue to live on in the memories of those who knew him.
