A. Stratton Mcallister

A. Stratton McAllister, PhD, aged 91, resident of Delafield, Wisconsin passed away June 7, 2024. Born November 9, 1932, he grew up in Covington, Virginia with four sisters. His undergraduate, master’s and doctorate in electrical engineering were from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Doctor Mac was a Professor of Electrical Engineering and a Senior Systems Engineer with IBM in the US, Germany, Belgium and Italy. In addition to being a world traveler, a talented musician with an outstanding baritone voice, a player of tuba, trombone, and ophicleide in orchestras, bands, and jazz ensembles, he was proficient with many early music wind instruments and an arranger as well as a supportive and loving husband.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years and a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be invited to a memorial concert at a later date.
